Our Philosophy

We believe that food tastes better outdoors. We want to connect aspiring home cooks and foodies with the people that make the food they love. We want to help chefs get out of the kitchen and share inspiration and connection with each other and our campers.

Most of all, we want to create community. We believe in the communal table and that the relationships made over a meal can make us a more tight-knit and connected community.

Eat local

We believe in supporting local food systems and small farmers/producers. We work with a wide group of local food producers and use organic and sustainable meats and vegetables whenever possible.

EAT North

We are exploring and expanding the definitions of Minnesota cuisine by bringing in chefs that represent the wide variety of ethnic cuisines that make up the fabric of our food community.

Whether you're bunking in the classic, cozy lakeside cabins (with old friends or new) or tent camping, you'll be close to the action for meals, classes and bonfires. Bring your own pillow and sleeping bag to settle in for a good night’s rest after a day of playing and cooking outdoors. The cabins are just what you'd imagine at an active summer camp—full of charm and nostalgia.

camp kitchens

We are serious about wilderness cooking. Our outdoor kitchens are located at various campfire and grill sites around camp. You'll be getting hands-on cooking instruction deep in a pine forest, along foraging trails and in our lakeside “classroom.”

hike & Explore

Enjoy eight miles of radiating trails that lead to an on-site farm, the waters of Sturgeon Lake, and the wooded acres to the north that beckon for hikes and foraging.
